Heavy Trucks

This training will prepare you to recertify as an inspector of Heavy Trucks, Trailers, and Buses in the state of Utah. It contains a review of the Utah Highway Patrol Safety Inspection Manual and includes helpful pictures and notes. The training also contains the tests that must be passed to qualify to recertify as an inspector.

With your purchase you will receive training and the UHP recertification application. Each inspector is required to have a copy of the 2008 inspection manual which is available at the Utah Highway Patrol Website, click here to link to it.

The completed application, your printed test score and a check or money order for $10 payable to the Utah Highway Patrol must be returned to ITS. The application will be validated by ITS before it is forwarded to the Utah Highway Patrol. With this nonrefundable payment the Utah Highway Patrol will process your application.

Applications sent directly to the Highway Patrol Office will not be processed.

The course will take several hours to complete. At the end of the course there is a final test that must be passed with 80 percent accuracy in order to qualify as an inspector. At the end of the test you must have a printer connected to your computer to print your test score.
